Within the Livio group, we strive to maintain as consistent pricing as possible, but the varying conditions at different clinics may sometimes result in slight price differences from clinic to clinic. Public funding
For those whose IVF treatment is paid for by the region, a patient fee is charged at each visit until the maximum fee is achieved. Please note that not all treatments are covered by the high‑cost protection scheme for medications. Consult your clinic for more information.
Missed Appointment
Missed appointments not canceled at least 24 hours in advance are charged 350 SEK
(applies to both patients with a regional referral and private patients).

EXTRA INFORMATION regarding package pricing
Package price – 3 IVF treatments
Under certain conditions, usually before the first treatment, we can offer a package price.
The price depends on the woman’s age. The package price must be approved by a clinic physician and means purchasing three treatments with embryo transfer at the price of two treatments.
The cost for the package is according to the current price list at the time of invoicing. Payment must be received by Livio Falun before the first treatment begins.
If a treatment is interrupted before egg retrieval, SEK 6,000 is counted as a treatment in the package.
If egg retrieval is done but no embryo transfer is made, either directly or after freezing, the treatment counts as half a treatment in the package.
One IVF treatment can, if desired, be exchanged for two frozen embryo transfers if your treatment results in more than one embryo. A frozen embryo transfer then counts as half a treatment.
If there are frozen embryos, these must be used before starting a new stimulation/treatment.
All three IVF treatments must be completed within 1.5 years or by special arrangement.
The cost for ultrasound scans done at another location is paid to whoever performs the scan and can later be reimbursed by Livio Falun upon presentation of a receipt.
If additional procedures such as sperm aspiration, freezing of embryos/sperm, or new infection screening etc. are needed, these will be invoiced according to the current price list.
The package price ends without refund if the woman gives birth, regardless of how many treatments within the package have been carried out.
By paying the invoice, you accept the above terms.

For IVF, payment must be made before egg retrieval. The invoice is activated no later than at the start of menstruation. Additional costs for supplementary tests may apply.
IVF treatment at Livio Falun
Any ultrasound with a doctor other than a distance doctor will be reimbursed upon presentation of a receipt.
If a started treatment cannot be completed to egg retrieval, the couple pays 6,000 SEK.
If a started treatment cannot be completed with embryo transfer, the couple pays 50%.
IVF treatment at Livio Falun with payment also to distance doctors affiliated with the Falun clinic
If a started treatment cannot be completed, the couple must pay the local doctor’s cost if egg retrieval cannot be performed, or 50% of the clinic’s cost plus the distance doctor’s cost if no embryo transfer can be performed.
"Total freeze" is charged as a completed treatment, no extra cost, and the first frozen embryo transfer is included.

8,000 SEK + 1,500 SEK administration fee for sperm for one treatment occasion, multiple can often be purchased if desired.

When treatment is done with already paid sibling-reserved sperm, the corresponding amount is deducted from the current treatment cost.

Your funding options
Many of our treatments can be offered with public funding. For regionally funded treatment, there are certain requirements such as the age of the woman and man (may vary between regions), that the couple does not have children together previously, that the man or woman is not sterilized or that the woman is not underweight or overweight (regions may have different BMI limits). If the couple or woman is entitled to regionally funded care, treatment can also take place at private clinics that have agreements.
In collaboration with Human Finans, Livio offers the possibility for advantageous loans and financing of your fertility treatment. For example, it is possible to take an interest-free loan for an IVF treatment and split the payment over 6 or 12 months.

Bo is a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology and was involved in founding the IVF clinic in Falun in 1989. Since then, he has worked at several fertility clinics as well as the women’s clinics in Falun and Gävle before returning to Livio Falun.

Klaudia holds a Master of Science in Technical Biology and a Master’s degree in Forensic Science. She takes care of eggs and sperm in the laboratory and ensures that embryos have an optimal environment for division and continued development. Klaudia started working at the clinic in 2020.
